The Dura-Meter was re-designed in 2016 to be made of impact resistant Lexan™ faceplate. As a result, it is resilient to the toughest treatment. Furthermore, it can withstand impacts common in the agricultural market and beyond.  The 100% moisture-sealed circuitry makes the meter impervious to water intrusion.

This chemical meter boasts a Quick List reference chart. Then simply input a number that corresponds to the chemical viscosity and adjust up or down for more accuracy.  Battery life doubled for 2016 with the addition of 4 “AAA” batteries. Over-molded with Santoprene and filled with gel, the face-plate has improved shock resistance.

The Dura-Meter uses an industry leading menu driven backlit display.  As a result, this meter is the easiest to use in all light conditions. Also it is plumbed both for in-line and 90 degree applications. In addition to the rich features, a 2 Year Maintenance Program and warranty come standard. Available in EPDM Silicone, and Viton® seals.

    EPDM vs Viton Seals

EPDM seals are good in steam applications and offer excellent chemical resistance to a variety of acids and alkalines. Fairly good in ketones and alcohols. Not recommended for use in applications involving petroleum oils, strong acids, or strong alkalines. They have exceptionally good weather aging and ozone resistance. Temperature rating is from -20ºF to +225ºF (250ºF intermittent service).

Viton® seals have excellent chemical resistance. They can be used in most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. They are particularly good in hydrocarbon service. Not suitable for steam or hot water service. Temperature rating is from -20°F to +300°F.
